The goal of this project was to create a simple website where people can get to know me. I wanted to show my ongoing projects as well as initiatives I've been a part of.

The goal of this project was to design and optimize a facility to produce a high production volume (HPV) chemical. To begin, research was done by analyzing European- and Asian-based multinationals as well as North American ones. Upon selection of an economically feasible reaction pathway, a process diagram was created outlining how the plant would be created.

This project included investigating two gas-phase reaction pathways to create arbitrary desired product D. Proceeding the pathway selection, a packed bed reactor (PBR) and a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) were designed. The PBR was found to be more economically feasible for the selected reaction pathway. Optimization studies were conducted to find the optimal temperature and pressure.

The goal of this project was to simulate the production of styrene via methanol alkylation of toluene. The process designed was to achieve a 99 mol% purity of styrene. This was done using separation units including a three-phase separator, and distillation columns. Through the use of a recycle, the overall yield of the process was improved to 89%.

This experiment outlines basic engineering principles of fluid flow. Air was blown through a long pipe equipped with a pitot tube and orfice meter. Six separate cases with different air flows were explored. For the different flow rate cases, the objectives were to calculate local velocities, average velocities, Reynolds numbers, and discharge coefficients.

The purpose of this project is to analyze and evaluate the design procedure for solving exit molar values of a hydrogen forming process. The goal report probes into the use of Microsoft Excel Visual Basics (VBA) for solving this problem and the development of a robust and user friendly program that could be applicable to other non-linear problems.
